Take action! Just 4 days left to support emerging farmers and HB4922

The Emerging and Socially Disadvantaged Farmer Grant Program HB4922, passed out of the House with strong bipartisan support, but it has now stalled in the Senate with only days remaining in the legislative session.

Your legislator {code for legislator name]  is in a leadership position and has the ability to help move this bill forward.

We need your voice today.

For years, funding for emerging and socially disadvantaged farmers has been allocated annually in the state budget, yet many socially disadvantaged farmers have never seen the intended support reach their communities.

Why? Because there have been no clear guidelines for implementation.

HB4922 fixes that problem by creating a pathway for existing resources to finally reach the farmers who need them most.

HB4922 does not ask for new funding, it simply asks lawmakers to help deliver already-allocated resources to emerging and socially disadvantaged farmers across Illinois to help them feed the communities they serve.

Please contact your legislator today and urge them to use their leadership position to help advance HB4922 before the legislative session ends.

Time is short. We are close—but we need action now.
