To mark our golden anniversary – and shape the future of the Alliance – we are inviting farmers, eaters and food system leaders together to help set the table for a bold new food and farm future in Illinois in the next 50.

From May through August, we hosted a series of over a dozen events across the state to gather input on the most pressing challenges in the food system and the solutions needed to tackle them.

Now’s your time to review and provide feedback on the draft Policy Platform that was a result of that input.

The Platform will serve as a 10-year outline of the policies that the Alliance believes are needed in order to transform Illinois’ food and farm system to be more just and regenerative.

Between now and November 1st, you’ve got three ways to let us know what you think.

  • Take the survey: Deadline: November 1st

This year, to celebrate 50 years of changemaking, Illinois Stewardship Alliance embarked on a journey to create a bold new Policy Platform to help shape the next 50 years, hosting listening sessions and gathering input across the state.

More than 400 farmers, eaters, and food system leaders across the state shared the challenges they face and the solutions they’d like to see — including you!

Thanks to the input you helped provide, we’ve dished up the first draft of the Policy Platform for your review. You told us what you wanted to see in a policy platform– now it’s time to tell us if we got it right.

Your input on this draft will be used to make improvements and ensure that the Platform truly reflects the needs of diverse stakeholders across Illinois.

Thank you for helping to shape a better food and farm future.
