Policy Organizer

Under the direction of the Executive Director and in partnership with the staff team, the Policy Organizer will recruit, retain, and organize members from among farmers, eaters, and food system leaders. The organizer will be responsible for facilitating a Caucus. The aim of these members-only caucuses is to bring together members who are passionate about soil health, water quality, and climate resilience, build relationships and trust, discuss issues, research policy, and collectively work on solutions to building a just and regenerative food system where farmers earn a living responsibly stewarding the land.

The organizer will meet one-on-one and in small groups with farmers and eaters to develop relationships, to surface issues, challenges, and opportunities, and to engage their participation in campaigns and public policy on food and agriculture. This organizing will expand the pool of leaders and base to foster new state and federal champions of regenerative agriculture.
