Food & Farm Advocacy Day
April 8

Join with other farmers, eaters, and food system leaders to help Illinois farmers feed Illinois, build climate resilience and protect water quality at the Food & Farm Advocacy Day.
Thanks to the generous support of our partners at the Illinois Food Justice Alliance and the Illinois Environmental Council, lunch is provided and some travel stipends are available to help you get to Springfield. You can request a stipend when you register.
Here’s what we’re advocating for together this legislative session:
- Renew the $2 million fund for the Local Food Infrastructure Grant
- Restore funding for Illinois’ 97 county Soil & Water Conservation Districts
- Pass the Good Food Purchasing Policy (GFPP)
- Improve the Illinois Grocery Initiative Grant Program
- Pass the Small Farmers Restoration Program
- Officially dedicate an annual Illinois Soil Health Week Act
You’re welcome no matter your experience level. Our Advocacy Days are designed to make it easy for you to make a powerful impact from your first step in the Capitol. You’ll be guided through every step of the process.
